What's Happening At The Village

If you haven’t been here lately, you won’t believe your eyes.

Even before you drive onto our campus, you’ll notice the difference—a white rail fence and new signs give the place an equestrian feel, so we fit in with our Chatham County neighbors.

The Lord has been working through the eyes, hands, and generosity of certain sisters, to transform many of our common areas into very uncommon areas!

All three parlors have been completely redecorated, with bright, cheery, homey furniture, accessories, drapes, and wall finishes. We’re all enjoying the baby grand piano one of our residents provided.

The employee clock room is now a café, where we have coffee, tea, and various goodies all day long.

The library has moved to brighter, more spacious surroundings in the Northeast Wing.

All-in-all, the manor has become an inviting place to gather, enjoy fellowship, or just sit back with the paper and a cup of coffee.

Above the parlor is an apartment hideaway, The Upper Room, used by visiting families, small groups, and guest speakers. Because it is out of the way, the sister who decorated it gave it the feel of an urban loft…with a small surprise around every corner.
